How to subscribe to Mate Pro

Mate Pro unlocks everything on every device: all translation styles, voice input, offline mode, sync, and more. One subscription covers Mac, iPhone, iPad and the browser extensions. Here is how to get it from each app.

From the iPhone or iPad app

1. Open Mate's settings (the gear icon) and tap Subscribe Now under Mate Subscription, or tap Upgrade when the app offers it.
2. Pick a plan and confirm with Apple. New subscribers usually get a free trial first.
3. Mate then asks you to create a Mate account. Do it, otherwise Pro won't carry over to your other devices.

From the Mac app

The steps are the same: Settings › Subscription, pick a plan, pay. If you installed Mate from the Mac App Store, Apple handles the payment. If you downloaded Mate from our site, a secure checkout by Paddle opens in your browser and returns you to the app when it's done.

From the browser extension

1. Click the Mate icon in the toolbar, open Settings, and stay on the Pro & Sync tab.
2. Choose monthly or annual and click Subscribe Now. A checkout tab opens at matetranslate.com, powered by Paddle. Pay by card or PayPal.
3. Back in the extension, click Finish Creating Account and set a password. Your subscription is now attached to that account.

You may see a temporary $1 charge from Paddle to verify the card. It's refunded immediately.

Free trial

First-time subscribers get 7 days free on Mac, iPhone and in the extension. We send a reminder 48 hours before the first payment. Cancel before then and you won't be charged.
